TripleInk Creates Stop-Smoking Brochure for Minnesota Latinos
Tuesday, December 07, 2004

TripleInk has created a brochure to help Minnesota Latinos kick the habit. The work, written in Spanish for the Minnesota Partnership for Action Against Tobacco (MPAAT), helps educate Spanish-speaking Minnesotans about the dangers of smoking, promotes the benefits of quitting and motivates readers to call the organization’s helpline.

Rather than translate the existing QUITPLAN collateral from English to Spanish, TripleInk redesigned the entire piece to make a better connection with the audience.

“Latinos were looking for a more compelling case about the dangers of smoking and wanted the factual support that wasn’t in the English version,” said Sandra Gengler, TripleInk’s Director of Client Services.

“The initial reaction to the piece has been extremely positive,” said Karl Nilsson, MPAAT’s Communication Specialist. “TripleInk worked with us to develop the tool we need to promote our helpline to Latinos and to help them quit smoking.”

MPAAT is distributing the brochure at Latino community events across Minnesota.
