Managing Director of CREO International Elected President of German American Chamber of Commerce in Minnesota
Monday, December 18, 2000

The Minnesota Chapter of the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest (GACCoM) has provided a forum for business people to develop and promote German-American business relationships here in Minnesota since 1992. As a private-sector, non-profit organization, the Chamber is affiliated with a network of over 100 business associations in Germany and over 60 German Chambers worldwide. The Minnesota Chapter represents over 45 members, ranging from small to large manufacturing and service companies from a variety of industries.

In November, the board of the GACCoM elected Christa Tiefenbacher-Hudson, Managing Director of CREO International, as their new president. She replaces Joe Hamilton of Speeter, Johnson, Hamilton & Wurst, who founded the Minnesota Chapter of the GACCoM in 1992. CREO was a founding member company and Tiefenbacher-Hudson has served on the GACCoM board for the past 4 years.

"The Chamber offers great opportunities to members and non-members alike to exchange ideas and information about our countries and cultures, our different economies and ways of doing business", says Tiefenbacher-Hudson. "It promotes an environment for developing business relationships and even friendships. Ultimately, organizations like the GACCoM help foster trade between Minnesota and Germany. And that is good for business overall."
